Shoutout to us, the survivors. Shoutout to those who speak up and name our attackers, and to those who—for whatever absolutely valid reason—do not feel safe enough to name the person who hurt them. To the survivors who are faced with flashbacks of their trauma while being put on the spot to represent anyone that’s ever been assaulted.
Shoutout to those who interfere and keep sexual assault from happening, and to those trying to make things better. Big ups to you.
Shoutout to those who will be assaulted. It’s never your fault. You are loved and beautiful.
Shoutout to all of us, the survivors.
